Maojiang Su
Hi, I’m Maojiang Su — a second-year PhD student in Computer Science at Northwestern University. I am advised by Prof. Han Liu in the MAGICS Lab.My research is in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I study how to build AI systems that generalize across goals, constraints, and environments. My work spans two complementary directions: AI for Science and Embodied Intelligence. In AI for Science, I develop generative models for molecular and biological design under novel scientific objectives. In Embodied Intelligence, I study agents that act reliably in new tasks and physical environments. My methodological interests include generative modeling, decision-making, reinforcement learning, and control. My long-term goal is to turn pretrained knowledge into useful behavior under new objectives and feedback.
